The Bear
Where we live is important, even if you’re not ‘from’ where you live, the locality becomes part of you and your identity as time goes on. During the pandemic we’ve been forced to spend even more time in our local area, we’ve walked our local parks more than ever and found new parks we’d never been to before. We’ve met our neighbours or spoken more to people who live on our street; but what does Sheffield mean to the team who work at Sheffield Children’s.
Oli’s bear is a reflection on what the staff at Sheffield Children’s think about Sheffield. The place their children were born, home to their favourite pub, cafe, park or football team, the place they live within the hills in the Peak District.
Oli has named the Bear Sky – after the Richard Hawley album/ Sheffield musical ‘Standing at Sky’s edge.’
Location
Meadowhall, Orange Car Park
