The Bear

The Owls was inspired by Sheffield Wednesday Football Club’s iconic logo and blue and white team colours.

Artist Ella Osborne was inspired to design a scene wrapping around her Bear, where the Owls look like they’re having a great time in their night time playground.

Ella Osborne is an artist, illustrator, and print maker. She loves drawing animals, people, buildings, and all kinds of other stuff. She is best friends with every cat she sees on the street, and she really loves tacos. Ella makes colourful prints, stationery, and homewares in her studio. She also designs custom event stationery and will make illustrations for any project you can think of.

Sheffield Wednesday Football Club was founded on the 4th of September 1867 by members of the Wednesday Cricket Club and is the fifth oldest professional football club in England. The Owls as they are known, because the club is located in an area of Sheffield that used to be known as Owlerton - have supported The Children's Hospital Charity and Sheffield Children's Hospital for many years now. The club is excited to see their Wednesday Bear complete with its own Owl stand proudly on the streets of Sheffield.
