The Bear

Artist George Greaves’ background in illustration and visual communication is shown in the design for his Bear Sculpture, Sun Bear. The design of muted colours reflects and utilises the dreamlike imagery often shown in his work. George’s designs are inspired by mythology, symbols and archetypes. Sun Bear engages the viewer, sparking the imagination, the design working to contemplate alternate histories.

Every year they do a huge Easter Egg and Selection Box drive to ensure all patients in the hospital receive a gift both at Easter and Christmas. Monies raised in the past have assisted with the Charity's Make it Better campaign by funding towards a Tesco bedroom in the new wing as well as the jazzy green and purple lifts you see in the hospital today. The Infirmary Road store have been paramount in growing the Tesco partnership into what it is today, there are over 50 stores currently fundraising and supporting the charity. Tesco are proud to be part of thousands of communities around the world.
