Abbey Lane Primary School

Abbey Lane Primary School creates a happy secure and caring environment for their pupils. The school holds a unique and important place in the community. Recognising that they cannot achieve their aims in isolation, the school greatly values the involvement of parents, carers, extended families and all the members of the community. It is only through partnership that the school can give their children the quality of education that they deserve.

Trish

The Abbey Lane Primary School Bear design was inspired by ‘people who help us.’ It is a collaborative, community Bear, made up of elements from seven designs – one design from each year group. Trish comprises images from a variety of helpful occupations, such as the NHS, school staff and cleaners. She also includes visuals that represent occupations beyond the most recognisable ones, such as postal workers, mountain rescue and life guards. Most notably, Trish is based on their very own, much-loved Abbey Lane Primary School crossing patrol lady.
